IMMOKALEE (June 15) – RCMA announces that Trinity-by-the-Cove donated $19,780 for enrichment programs at its Immokalee Community Academy. The K-8 charter school serves almost 300 students with a bilingual, bicultural curriculum. The grant will fund literacy and math software programs, art and drama instruction during summer school, and cultural field trips to locations such as Naples Botanical Garden, Conservancy of Southwest Florida, and Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. Trinity-by-the-Cove has supported RCMA with more than $136,000 in grant support since 2000.
“The programs that Trinity-by-the-Cove is supporting help our students enhance their English language skills, excel at math, and explore the world around them,” says RCMA Executive Director Isabel Garcia. “We appreciate all the ways this funding opens doors to opportunities for our students.”
RCMA is Florida’s largest nonprofit provider of early childhood education and a nationally recognized charter school operator. In May, Florida designated RCMA as just the sixth School of Hope charter school operator since the state program began in 2017. This recognition provides RCMA with access to state grants and low-cost loans as it expands from two to five charter schools in the next five years. Learn more at rcma.org.
