Becoming a teacher
RCMA encourages you to submit an application at the center in your area.
Requirements for each teaching position is listed below:
- Infant/toddler and Preschool teacher trainees (full or part time) – High school diploma or GED
- Infant/toddler teacher- Level 1 (full or part time)- Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45 hour training
- Infant/ toddler teacher- Level 2 (full or part time)- Child Development Associate (CDA) or FCCPC- required
- Preschool teacher- Level 1 (full or part time- bilingual preferred)–DCF 45 hour training
- Preschool teacher- Level 2 ( full or part time)- bilingual preferred-CDA or FCCPC- required
- Preschool teacher- Level 3 (full or part time)- bilingual preferred- Associates degree in early childhood required
- Preschool teacher- Level 4 (full or part time)- bilingual preferred – Bachelors degree in early childhood required

Becoming a Charter School Teacher
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Temporary Teacher’s Certificate or a Teacher’s Certificate as required by Chapter 231.02 Florida Statutes
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years teaching experience
- Bilingual English / Spanish
