RCMA is proud to announce the addition of Connie Walker Fuller to its Board of Directors. Connie brings to RCMA an impressive blend of expertise in law, education, and nonprofit board service, along with a lifelong dedication to empowering children and supporting underserved communities.
Connie Walker Fuller has built an extensive professional career in both law and education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. As an attorney, Connie practiced securities and corporate law for nearly two decades, including seven years full-time and twelve years part-time, at a prominent law firm in Oklahoma City. Her legal experience is complemented by her time as an adjunct professor, where she taught securities law at both Oklahoma City University and the University of Oklahoma.
Connie’s dedication to education began early in her career. She has taught at various levels, including as a Head Start teacher in Texas, a middle school teacher in Mississippi, and a high school English teacher and debate coach in North Carolina. Her experiences in the classroom have instilled in her a deep respect for educators and a strong affinity for RCMA’s mission of providing quality education to children in low-income communities.
In addition to her professional achievements, Connie is an active board member in numerous nonprofit and community organizations. She currently serves on the boards of The League Club, Trinity by the Cove Episcopal Church Vestry, and previously held the position of president of the Southwest Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She has also contributed to the governance of various other organizations, including serving on the board of the Museum of Art of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Foundation. Her extensive board service has given her invaluable experience in governance, fundraising, and advocacy, making her an asset to RCMA’s leadership team.
“We are thrilled to welcome Connie to our Board of Directors,” said Isabel Garcia, Executive Director of RCMA. “Her diverse background and passion for both law and education align perfectly with RCMA’s mission. Connie’s commitment to supporting children and families will help strengthen our impact across Florida’s low-income communities.”
Connie’s wealth of experience, both professionally and in volunteer service, will play a critical role in RCMA’s continued growth and success. Her background and dedication to community service exemplify the values that drive RCMA forward as it begins its 60th year of empowering families through education and support.
