MCA Campus Sees Green and White

large MSU

Recently we had an amazing visit from the Michigan State University CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program). CAMP is a residential program that assists migrant and seasonal farm worker students with academic, social, and financial support to enable them to complete their first year of college. During the visit, the MSU CAMP team engaged our young Monarchs in conversations about college and their dreams for the future.

Six of our MCA Monarchs’ older siblings are making waves as the first in their families to pursue higher education at Michigan State University, and their journey is paving the way for others.
From aspiring teachers and nurses to future firefighters, police officers, chefs, and entrepreneurs, our students shared a diverse range of career aspirations. It’s incredible to witness their determination and ambition at such young ages!
A huge thank you to the MSU CAMP program for their unwavering commitment to ensuring a positive college experience for the children of farmworkers. Your dedication is truly changing lives, and we’re immensely grateful for your visit.

We also extend our gratitude to Linda Miles Adams, the RCMA board chair, for her visit to our school and for her steadfast belief in the potential of every single one of our students. Together, we’re fostering a community where every Monarch can soar to great heights!
