Former RCMA Students Graduate High School and are Headed to College

2023 Cristo Rey Graduates big

The month of June traditionally brings the end of the school year and graduation celebrations, and at RCMA, we celebrate two very special graduating classes.

In 2020, RCMA became a feeder school for Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School, where a select group of students from RCMA’s Wimauma Community Academy (WCA) entered high school there. This year, that first group of students have graduated from high school and are on their way to college.

“This is a very special group of students,” says Mark Haggett, Principal at WCA. “These students were the first ones who started in our Middle School and the first ones to graduate. They are all bright hard-working students. And now they are heading off to college! We are so proud of these scholars.

Meanwhile, in addition to all of RCMA’s scholars moving up one grade, eighth graders at Immokalee Charter Academy represented the first graduating eighth grade class ever for the school. Many of the graduates began their days at RCMA as infants attending our child development centers all the way through to graduating from eight grade. We congratulate all of these amazing students on their educational journey.
