Wimauma Community Academy scholars got a unique opportunity to celebrate STEM excellence recently with a visit to MacDill Air Force Base. It was the annual STEM Day, where the Base invited 2,000 students from all over Hillsborough County to participate in interactive learning experiences in STEM careers. The event is designed to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and inspire the next generation of innovators, scientists, and engineers. WCA scholars got the opportunity to interact with units and service members from MacDill and see how STEM is used in the military and community.
