Super Spring Family Health and Resources Day in Immokalee on April 30

IMMOKALEE (April 11, 2022) – RCMA and more than 16 partners will present a free Super Spring Family Health & Resources Day for children and adults in the community from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 30 outdoors at its Immokalee Community Academy charter school campus, 123 N. 4th Street, Immokalee. RCMA and Healthcare Network are coordinating the event that will include free COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, food distribution, toys distribution, immigration assistance, domestic abuse support, STD education, nutrition guidance, Medicare information, primary care referral assistance, and screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose and diabetes, vision, mental health and HIV.

Services will be provided in English, Spanish and Creole.

Partnering agencies include UnidosUS, Blue Zones, Department of Health-Collier, David Lawrence Center, Farmworkers Association of Florida, Florida State University Center for Stress & Health, Guadalupe Social Services, HCN Behavioral Health, Harry Chapin Food Bank, Healthcare Network, Molinda Health Care of Florida, Naples Lion’s Club, National Seasonal and Migrant Head Start Association, Sen. Marco Rubio’s Office, Salvation Army, Shelter for Abused Women & Children, and UF IFAS Extension Collier.

Several hundred people are expected to participate.
