With 1,600 employees across 21 Florida counties, RCMA offers career advancement opportunities throughout our organization. This fall, we promoted and hired staff for key positions at our headquarters in Immokalee, reinforcing their dedication to our mission.
Catalina Sepulveda was promoted to the newly-created post of Associate Executive Director for Business and Finance, a trailblazing position within the Head Start world. An RCMA employee since 2006, she started as a Preschool Teacher at our Krome Child Development Center in LaBelle but most recently worked as a Fiscal/Operations Analyst.
“I enjoying working at RCMA because it aligns so much to my personal belief and passion, which is that there is always a way to achieve your dreams,” Cata says. “I strongly believe that all people should have equal access to education, which ultimately would open doors to opportunities in life. By giving back to humanity, we could create a better place to live and to pass on to our children.”
Beatriz Coronado was promoted to Director of Safety and child Well-being. An RCMA employee since 1996, primarily in the Florida City area, she previously worked as a Program Policy Analyst in the headquarters office.
A child of migrant farm workers, Beatriz grew up in Florida City but traveled as her family followed the tomato season, so she understands all the ways RCMA supports our communities. “RCMA is a lifeline for many families and provides opportunities for children and families,” she says.
Monica Teixeira assumed the position of Database and Office Administrator in the Development and Community Relations department. She brings more than 10 years of database and development experience, most recently with Columbia College Chicago.
“RCMA has an important mission that I am excited to be part of,” Monica says. “As an immigrant myself, I am committed to supporting the most vulnerable families, their needs, their dreams, and their success.”
Elizabeth Maldonado of Immokalee was promoted to Executive Administrative Manager. An RCMA employee since 2015, she previously worked as an executive assistant.
“RCMA provides success opportunities not only to children and their families but to staff as well,” Liz says. “RCMA helps me grow my professional network, provides an opportunity to acquire new skills, and most importantly lets me be part of a team. RCMA is important because we bridge the financial and academic gap that our communities face.”
Rosalinda Avellaneda joins RCMA as Office Manager. “I wanted to work with RCMA because of the opportunities that they give and the flexibility as well when taking courses for school,” says Rosalinda, who attends Florida SouthWestern. “What I like best so far is getting to know everyone you work with in RCMA with this position.”
