RCMA Named Nonprofit of the Year by Immokalee Eastern Chamber of Commerce

Nonprofit 2

RCMA has been named Nonprofit of the Year by the Immokalee Eastern Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the Chamber’s annual event, held at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.

RCMA Executive Director Isabel Garcia accepted the award on behalf of the organization. During her remarks, she recognized staff members in attendance who are Immokalee residents, as well as those who grew up in farmworker families like those that RCMA serves every day.

“This award belongs to our staff and the families we serve,” Garcia said. “I am a farmworker and I know what our families go through. I lived the lifestyle, just like many of my colleagues. We could not do what we do without people with heart, and that is what we have at RCMA. Our team understands the challenges our families face, and are deeply committed to helping the next generation succeed.”

RCMA provides high-quality early childhood education and family support services to children in low-income and farmworker communities across Florida. The organization has a strong presence in Immokalee and continues to make a lasting impact through education and care.

The Immokalee Eastern Chamber of Commerce works to connect communities including Immokalee, Ave Maria, Golden Gate City, and Golden Gate Estates. Its mission is to build a strong, inclusive region through business leadership and support.

“This recognition highlights the power of community,” Garcia added. “We are proud to stand alongside partners who believe in creating opportunity for the children and families of Immokalee, and throughout the state of Florida.”
