Recently, a grand opening celebration was held on RCMA’s Mulberry campus to invite guests to visit the campus and to check out the brand-new Mulberry Community Academy. Guests were able to tour the new facility, visit the Child Development Center located on campus, and see renderings of the permanent building which will begin construction once funding is in place. The school currently offers a bilingual curriculum for kindergarten and first grade, with plans to eventually expand to eighth grade.
“This was a historic day for Mulberry and for RCMA,” says Isabel Garcia, Executive Director at RCMA. “Imagine the potential of a child in rural Florida growing with the belief that they can achieve anything. That is our goal at RCMA. The education we provide and the support services we offer the families increase opportunities for the entire community. With a specialized learning approach that holistically helps migrant working families, we are able to educate the leaders of tomorrow.”
MCA is RCMA’s third charter school, joining other RCMA charter schools in Immokalee and Wimauma. RCMA is honored to have so many wonderful community members supporting our efforts to provide quality education and support services for the Mulberry community.
