Thanks to our wonderful donors, we raised $128,760 during the Give Where You Live Collier 24-hour giving challenge held on Feb. 9 & 10, 2022!
This was $33,760 more than last year.
We also had 99 donors, which was 32 more than last year.
Wow!
Your generosity means that almost 800 children in our 6 Immokalee-based pre-K child development centers and in our K-7 Immokalee Community Academy will have even more opportunities for academic parity that will help lift them out of poverty.
Give Where You Live Collier is hosted by the Community Foundation of Collier County and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation for just 40 of the more than 600 nonprofits in the county. The organizations provide $500,000 in matching funds, which means our final total will exceed the $128,760 raised during the 24 hours.
We are thankful to long-time supporter Lipman Family Farms for contributing $90,000 to us during the event.
“Lipman Family Farms has always made it a priority to provide support to people who have the drive to get ahead but maybe not the proper resources to get there,” says Jaime Weisinger, an RCMA Board member and Lipman’s Director of Community & Government Relations. “We want to make sure that lack of funding or support is not the reason someone can’t achieve their goals. RCMA has always been the organization that has put the framework in place along with the compassion for care and learning that gives families a leg up. Their ‘crib to career’ approach has produced so many great success stories.”
