Academy Scholars Present First Ever Career Showcase

WCA Career Fair big

Eighth grade scholars at RCMA WCA held their first ever career showcase recently. The scholars selected a career, put together presentation boards, and presented in science fair style. All information was presented in English and Spanish. In total, they prepared 21 presentations – four by individual scholars and 17 by teams of two or three scholars. Resource Officer Deonarine Mangroo and board members, Mrs. Linda Miles and Mr. Bill Ferrari were the judges for the event, and awarded certificates and gift cards to the winners.

Judging categories included creativity, depth of information, and preparedness. Parents, teachers, and middle school scholars in 6th and 7th grade attended the showcase as well. RCMA WCA scholars not only learned about the various careers but also had fun preparing and presenting them. A big shout out and thank you to Ms. Gaston and Miss Perez for supporting our scholars!
