RCMA’s 26th Annual Golf Classic delivered a historic day on the links, raising a record-breaking $120,000 to support the organization’s mission of providing quality early childhood education and family services throughout Florida.
Held at Naples Heritage Golf and Country Club, the event brought together corporate partners, supporters, and golfers for a day of friendly competition and philanthropy. The tournament’s continued success was made possible through the generous support of title sponsor Lipman Family Farms, a longtime partner of RCMA and champion of educational opportunities for Florida’s children.
“This year’s Golf Classic exceeded all expectations,” said Isabel Garcia, Executive Director of RCMA. “The generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters will help us continue opening doors to opportunity for thousands of children and families across Florida. We are especially grateful to Lipman Family Farms for their steadfast partnership and commitment to our mission.”
Participants enjoyed a challenging day on one of Southwest Florida’s premier golf courses, followed by an outstanding lunch buffet, exciting door prizes, and the tournament’s popular raffle. Adding to the excitement, raffle ticket sales reached an all-time high, generating more than $20,000 in support of RCMA’s programs.
The day’s most memorable moment came at the tournament’s hole-in-one contest. For the first time in the event’s 26-year history, a golfer successfully aced the designated hole and claimed the $20,000 grand prize.
Alex Subbert (pictured left) etched his name into Golf Classic history by sinking the tournament’s first-ever winning hole-in-one, drawing cheers from fellow golfers and creating a moment that attendees will not soon forget.
“After 26 years, we finally had a winner,” Garcia said. “Everyone was thrilled to witness such an incredible achievement. It made an already special day even more memorable.”
Proceeds from the Golf Classic support RCMA’s statewide network of child development centers and charter schools, which provide quality education and comprehensive services to children from low-income working families. As Florida’s largest nonprofit provider of early childhood education, RCMA serves thousands of children each year, helping prepare them for success in school and in life.
